April Events

Here’s what’s happening at Yates Community Library in April:

4/8 (11 AM - 12 PM):  The “Lunch Bunch” Book Club will discuss Double Abduction, by Chris Beakey.  Light refreshments available.

4/22 & 24 (1-2 PM)  &  4/29 & 5/1 (7-8 PM):  Computer Basics Classes - Learn the basics of using a computer, as well as basic word processing skills!  Pre-registration is required; call or stop by to register.

4/25 (3:30-4:30 PM):  “Kids Club” - Kids in 1st grade & up can enjoy a story and a special craft!

4/26 (12-8 PM):  “Guitar Hero” Competition - Rock out with your friends!  An all-ages event.  $10 donation at the door to benefit library programs.

March Events

Here’s what we’re doing here at the library in March:3/10, 6:30-7:30:  We’re showing a documentary film on the Spanish influenza epidemic of 1918.

3/11, 11-12:  The “Lunch Bunch” Book Club will discuss Maeve Binchy’s “Quentins”.  Light refreshments will be served.

3/17, 6-8:  A St. Patrick’s Day celebration!  The McMahon School of Irish Dance will provide a dancing demonstration; Legacy Catering will offer an Irish food tasting; and you can listen to a short history of St. Patrick’s Day!

3/18, 3:30-5:  Easter Celebration:  Get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny, participate in an Easter Egg hunt, enter a coloring contest, and much more!  Children aged kindergarten & younger are welcome with a parent.3/29, 7-10:  Teen Night @ YCL:  “PlayStation 2″ games, films, food & lots of fun!  Grades 6-12
