“Jammies in January” returns for the second year at Yates Community Library! Come dressed in your favorite pajamas & share popcorn and family films with your friends at the library. “Jammies in January” will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008, from 6:30-9 PM.

Yates Community Library is ringing in the new year with a ‘fine-free week’.  Bring in your overdue items and the fines you owe on the items will be excused!‘Fine-Free Week’ will be held from January 3-10, 2008. 

The Yates Community Library is pleased to announce the arrival of a disc resurfacing machine.  The machine will repair & remove scratches from compact discs, DVD discs, and certain video game discs.

Starting January 3, we will offer this service to the public at no cost for one month.

So, if you have discs that you can’t use because they’re scratched up, bring them to the library and we’ll fix them up for you.Repairable Items:  DVDs, music CDs, computer CD-ROMs, PlayStation 1-3 games, Xbox & Xbox 360 games.  **We are unable to repair Nintendo GameCube discs at this time.**

Yates Community Library will close Monday, December 24 through Wednesday, December 26 for the Christmas holiday.  The library will re-open at 10 AM on Thursday, December 27.

The Yates Community Library will hold a Teen Night on Saturday, December 29, from 7-10 PM.  Teen Night features games, movies (on the big screen), food, and all sorts of fun for teens grades 6-12!  Call the library for more information.

Come get in the holiday spirit with Yates Community Library and “Buffalo & Brandy”’s “Magic of the Holidays”!  This program will use music and magic to bring the community together for a jolly good time!

Come see “Buffalo & Brandy” on Saturday, December 8, from 1-2 PM.  This is an “all-ages” event that’s fun for the whole family!
