3rd Annual Pumpkin Contest!

On October 30th, the library held it’s annual pumpkin decorating contest.  Participants each brought a pumpkin, which they decorated during a 45 min. session.  Decorations were provided by the library.  The results were very creative! Prizes were awarded for the scariest, silliest and most original pumpkins!

Special thanks goes to all the families and friends who participated!   Additional thanks go to our sponsors for this event:  LynOaken Farms for their super cider; and Rosanne Russo for her wonderful doughnuts!

Candy Corn Winner

Tricks or Treats?  During the month of October, YCL  held a contest to guess the number of candy corn pieces in a jar.  To enter, patrons simply needed to “check out” four items from the Library.     The Winning Guess  (377), from Shaughn Larkin.  Congratulations and happy munching, Shaughn!  Look for more fun contests in the future.
