Get a Library Card

Don’t have a library card? You’re going to want one. Getting a library card means gaining access to the 21 different libraries in the NIOGA library system and their resources. What does that mean? That means if the library closest to you does not have something you are looking for, then we know someone who does.

To register: bring in the completed registration form and an acceptable (see below) form of ID.

Parents must sign a form authorizing the issuance of a library card to a child under the age of 18.

Your first library card is free of charge. Replacement cards are $1.00. There is no charge for updating information or for renewing expired cards.

Acceptable forms of identification:

  • New York State driver's license with current street address
  • Valid picture identification card with name, current address, and signature
  • Dwelling lease
  • Voter's registration card with current address

For Our Seasonal Members
Just be sure to bring your registration form with a valid ID and a piece of mail with your name and seasonal address.
