Time to curl up with the Tale For Three Counties!
Posted: Monday, January 12, 2015
Winter time means joining in on the "one book -one community" project for Orleans, Genesee, and Wyoming counties. If you've participated before, you know you can look forward to a book with lots to discuss, chosen just for local readers by local librarians. You can borrow or buy a copy at your nearby library, read the book, then share your impressions with your friends and neighbors at your library's book discussion. The ultimate event of each Tale year is the author visit in March!
You can choose one of several nearby locations to hear the author tell about how the book was created, to briefly meet the author, and to have your book signed if you wish! Catch the excitement of sharing a wonderful book with other local readers!
This Year's Book Selection: WE ARE CALLED TO RISE, by Laura McBride. In this book, three lives are bound together by a split-second mistake, and a child's fate hangs in the balance. What happens next will test--and restore--your faith in humanity.

Through the generosity of the Lyndonville Area Foundation, the library is now able to offer 4 brand new public computers for adult use. Taking an exam and require a computer for a while? We have a computer dedicated for such tasks.
With additional assistance from the Orleans County Foundation, we now offer a new children's computer with 60 pre-installed music, language arts, math, science, and social studies games for ages 3 to 12. This Early Literacy Station has both touchscreen and mouse capability, dual headphones for two children to play at once, and a colorful learning keyboard.
Along with our laptop and Mac mini, this brings the total number of public computers to 7.
Thank you, from the community, to the Lyndonville Area Foundation & Orleans County Foundation!
