Every Hero Has A Story: Summer at the Library!

Posted: June 2, 2015

Your Library is making big plans for this summer that will offer activities for all ages. Free concerts in the park begin on Monday, June 22, with the Barker Community Band. The Old Hippies, Delano Steele, Blue Sky, and more, will take you through the summer with all kinds of music for you to enjoy! Click on our Calendar above for dates.

Special family programs will feature Charlie & Checkers in a brand new show on July 9th. Also kids age 8 and up can join educator Rick Merritt in a hands-on science program, "Snail-Watches." Please be sure to sign up soon here at the library if interested! The program is free and kids will have fun while they study live invertebrates and other critters.

All summer long, Every Hero Has A Story will be the theme for both weekly kids' programs on Fridays and on all the special handouts we'll have for kids and families to track their reading. Set your own goal and celebrate with pizza in the park on Aug. 13, if you succeed in reaching it!

Need 4th of July celebration info? Click on the heading at the far right of the navigation bar above.
